The Support British Pork Calendar is a collection of well known faces in the pig industry - and if they weren’t well known before they are now! Some daring farmers, butchers and industry leaders have revealed nearly all to jointly raise money to buy a trailer for Ladies in Pigs (www.ladiesinpigs.co.uk) to educate and increase awareness to children and adults about British Pork and to support pig farming in Britain.
The hottest calendar for 2011 was inspired by Hilary Cuttell, Business Development Manager for Genesis, leading Farm Assurance providers. Keen to do something different within the Pig industry, the intrepid fellows decided to ditch their normal day jobs to pose in an assortment of humorous images to raise money. To name but a few, Martin Barker and Andrew Knowles from BPEX kindly volunteered to be part of the Genesis/Ladies in Pig’s calendar and help raise funds greatly needed.
This calendar was photographed by Michael Hemmings Photography with taste and discretion,” said Sue Woodall of LIPS “and the response so far is great. It was the first time all of the models had done anything like this but we are really pleased with result and hope we raise loads of money. All of the models posed in various locations within their work attire – although some posed shirtless – some with the equipment they use and some with strategic positioned props!”
